Le couvent des Dominicaines Ste-Marguerite a été démantelé à la Révolution et transformé en hôpital. Il abritait le premier orgue construit par André et Gottfried Silbemann.
Historique
André Silbermann et son frère Gottfried ont construit cet orgue en 1703. Ils avaient probablement amené le buffet de Freyberg (Saxe). La petite pédale (1 octave) était séparée, car elle avait un sommier "très étroit". [ArchSilb] [HOIE] [IHOA]
En 1783, Jean Nicolas Toussaint déménagea l'instrument à l'église protestante St-Gall d'Ittenheim. [IHOA] [ITOA]
